The Prince’s Trust Doug Barrowman Centre was officially opened on the 18th September 2019 and is located at Beehive Mill in Ancoats. The State of the Art Centre, which received a £2million donation from The Barrowman Foundation will give 3,000 young people per year the facilities to connect them with even more opportunities to develop the confidence and skills they need to get into work, education and training.
Find out moreDoug and the Barrowman Foundation have for many years supported the excellent work that has been undertaken by the charities featured on this website. In particular, they are proud to be part of projects that will have such fundamental long term advantages for the young people they are supporting. The donation of £2million to assist the Prince’s Trust to build a state of the art Manchester Centre significantly enhances the environment in which the young people of Manchester learn the skills so important in their development. The support provided in the building of 8 schools for the ActionAid Changemakers Club has and is continuing to make a significant positive contribution to the communities in which these schools serve.
Whilst Doug and the Barrowman Foundation have given donations directly to a charity in the past, we will in future consider staging events that will not only raise awareness, but also endeavour to capture additional funds to the benefit of a particular charity. We will advertise these events on this website but whilst we formulate our thoughts further on this, you can find below some of the fundraising events we have attended.
